Originating from a traditional London brewery, this yeast has a wonderful malt and hop profile. It is a true top cropping strain with a fruity, very light and softly balanced palate. This strain will finish slightly sweet. London Ale III has become synonymous with the production of New England IPAs, also known as juicy or hazy IPAs, and balances well with the tropical fruit qualities from late and dry hop additions.

Buy two packs
Love the product and like farmhouse as a seller for the most part. But the pack of 1318 I got had a packaging date of Feb 1st. This is 1 month and 5 days before my order date. Now it is brew day and the yeast is 10 days past 4 weeks old which is 10 days older than I will use for liquid yeast.

My "house strain" for IPAs
I use this yeast anytime I'm making an IPA. I like it even more then the famous Conan. Hazy juicy character that finishes clean.

Excellent for British Style Ales
I made a scottish 70, ordinary bitter, and a brown porter with this yeast. I really liked the results. This yeast produced well attenuated ale with moderate and pleasing fruitiness, not quite as much as 1469, but more than 1335.
