An alternative to Simcoe
I use comet as a dry hop and as a flavor hop. I approach it as an inexpensive simcoe alternative. A little goes a long way when dry hopping! I summed it up on another forum as follows: I think this hop is best suited for massive late hopping when you want a ton of simcoe/grapefruit-skin flavor in a IPA. I have 4 more ounces of this and I think I'll do that; A BIG IPA with chinook bittering and crazy comet late hopping. This hop shouldn't be muddled with malt character. I don't recommend this hop for delicate ales.... but if you want to hit someone over the head with an American hop-hammer of flavor... this is the hop for you.

Good hop, but Columbus is a little better
Comet is similar to Columbus, but I think Columbus has a little bit stronger pine and citrus taste.

Super awesome hop
This is a throwback, having the super citrus but with the richness of piney hops. Used in a belgian IPA and it played very nicely with the strain used.

awesome Cannabis hop
If you like super dank, then go for this one. I shouldn't write the review, b/c i want it all for myself. i crave the piney/dank hop character, and this one will blend well with anything like that, Simcoe, CTZ, Summit, etc.

Didn't know what to expect
Had brewed a hoppy pale ale around 6% with Citra and Mosaic. After tasting the gravity sample I wasn't pleased so I used the Comet I had in the freezer to dry hop since I didn't want to waste Citra or Mosaic on the batch. The beer actually came out wonderful and the comet really shined. I love pwerful citrus hops so I loved the very upfront bang comet gives you. It has a very powerful aroma so if you aren't into that, stay away.
