Current AA: 12.0 - 16.0%
El Dorado is an exceptional dual purpose hop with both high Alpha Acid and intense flavors and aromas. As a bittering hop El Dorado lends a firm but balanced bitterness. This hop has bright tropical fruit flavors and aromas of pear, watermelon, and stone fruit.
Use in: ESB, American Pale Ale, Porter, IPA

candy!
I absolutely love this hop! I’ve used ElDorado in a bunch of different beers, including my most recent Piña Colada IPA (a combo with Denali). It plays well with a lot of great hops and gives you a flavor that, in my experience, can’t be matched. I know a lot of flavor descriptors are stone fruit and pear, but I get a lot of candy! Jolly rancher even! I tend to use it a lot for dry hopping, but it works wonderfully anywhere in the brewing process. If you haven’t used El Dorado, just do it. Brew a SMaSH or grab some Simcoe or Citra and make something delicious. Hell, I really like it with centennial and absolutely love it with Columbus (it’s the dankiest). Cheers

Unique Aromas
Interesting fruit gum and fruit candy type aromas. I'm reminded of Juicy Fruit and Bazooka gum as well as red licorice ropes from my childhood. Maybe a bit of mango or pineapple in the background.
