I bought this to use in the summer months and am excited to try when ambient temperatures prevent brewing without some sort of chilling set up. I used it to make an IPA - it was highly flocculent and clumpy. I fermented at 68-72F. The resulting beer tasted clean and I am happy with the outcome.
I used this strain to ferment 30gal of Barleywine in a Brute garbage can and didn't have any temp control. Temps got in the 90's for sure. It didn't attenuate as low as I wanted, but my OG was over 1.100 and my mashing temps were on the high side. I have this beer aging in a 30gal French Oak barrel and am very pleased with how this yeast worked out! No off flavors from high ferm temp.
