This is a big aroma hop with intense floral characters of pine needles and tropical fruit. Trial brews brewed with this hop were only moderately hoped and displayed great quality of bitterness and well rounded fruity hop characters.

Not a SMASH hop.
Not sure if it was an errant batch but I would have to say this hop is not a candidate for single use. Overall the hop aroma is negligible and oddly yeasty? And the taste is strange - not tropical as advertised- more of a strange apple/peach but not fresh, if you follow me. I was disappointed. However to be fair I may have under hopper at 4oz for 5 Gals.

Good but not great hop
I tried 4 oz of this hop in conjunction with Wakatu in a NE IPA. I steeped the hops for 30 minutes at 185 degrees and the results were a little disappointing. It didn't have that strong mango, papaya driven flavor and the aroma was somewhat there but not like other hops I've used in this recipe. This hop, I feel, does do well as a stand alone.

Very nice hop overall
The hop: Has a very pleasant tropical smell, nice hop to add with other hops as it imparts a nice fruity which could border on tropical but the smell and taste is very subdued overall. Works well with other hops. The reason I bought it here: I love trying new hops and really like a lot of the hops coming out of New Zealand which is how I found Farmhouse brewing supply in the first place. I only do 1 to 6 gallon batches so their 4 oz packs are perfect and they have great pricing, fast shipping, and everything is packaged airtight.

Decent hop, but not very tropical
Made a session IPA (38 IBUs & 4.8% ABV) using equal portions of this, Rakau and Motueka with 0-15 min hop bursting to achieve IBUs as well as flavor and aroma. The lemon lime from Motueka dominated the tropical fruit I hoped for, so may need more of this hop to acheive tropical fruit notes in the beer. Still a very nice hop in a citrusy/tropical hoppy beer.
