Through its unique double drying process, Dingemans Special B® has a distinctive aroma and flavor. Special B is responsible for the intense caramel taste and raisin-like flavor of some Belgian Abbey beers. It can be used in place of chocolate and black malt when deep color without bitterness is not desired.

Suggested usage: Double Belgian Abbey and Trappist beers, Stout, Dark ales, Belgian Quadrupel

    Special B is so great in lots of different beers. I bought it this time for a tropical stout I'm brewing. I use Special B in my amber, winter warmer and love it in a black saison too. It lends a super cool raisiny know, but in a good way. Use it in a rye beer and you'll be blown away!
