Denali hop
one of my favorite hops to use in my ipa’s, get a tremendous amount of citrus flavor and a big pineapple/piney resinous aroma .

Bought this twice so far
The hop: First time I bought Denali from Farmhouse it was still called EXP 6277. I added it last year and this year to my Raspberry Ginger Saison as late additions and it really complemented the Raspberry helping it to stand out. I've also used it in a few tropical blends with other hops for Pale Ales. I did notice the pineapple in one of the lighter pale ales I made but overall the tropical and citrus flavors standout with this hop plus with the high alpha I've been considering a Denali smash ale. The reason I bought it here: I love trying new hops and really like a lot of the hops coming out of New Zealand which is how I found Farmhouse brewing supply in the first place. I only do 1 to 6 gallon batches so their 4 oz packs are perfect and they have great pricing, fast shipping, and everything is packaged airtight.

Doesn't Deliver on the Pineapple
Let me preface by saying that Farmhouse always delivers products fresh and in a timely fashion. As for the hop, I am not impressed. I recently used it in a Saison along with Motueka. In addition to late kettle and whirlpool additions, I wanted to dry hop with the Denali. However, the "pineapple" aroma is not that bright. It's sort of pineapple and cat pee put together. Remove the pine from Simcoe, and you are left with odd fruitiness. Denali has that exact odd fruitiness in spades.

Awesome Hop
I added all 4oz to my first NEIPA. The aroma is amazing and very unique. I gave it a 5 star rating due to the aroma alone. This hop would be an awesome addition to a Brett beer due to the pineapple aroma it throws off. I just purchased 1/2 lb and can't wait to use them again...
