Similar to German Hallertau but higher alpha . During selections this variety displays an intensity of aromas which selectors describe as fresh citrus akin to freshly zested lime peel.
Use in: Lager, Pils, Bock, Wheat, Kolsch, Helles, Belgian Ales.

I recently paired 3oz of Wakatu with 3 oz Rakau in a 12 litre batch of IPA. The Wakatu gacve this IPA a nice lime flavour and aroma unlike anything I could make using North American Hops.
