Golden Promise pale malt, made from the eponymous spring barley variety, is a UK classic. Historically the Scottish analog to English Maris Otter malts, Golden Promise is well used in any English or Scottish style ale. The sweet, robust malt flavor of Golden Promise has also made it a choice base malt for American IPAs, lagers, and several famous whiskeys.

Golden Promise malt
The malt received was weighed by me and was exactly what I ordered. So has the malt weights I have ordered in the past number of years. Also my order was received in great shape and quick. The malt was used in a brew I did two days ago which is about a week after I received it. Based on my testing the specific gravity during brewing, the mash efficiency was 80% indicating a high quality of the grains. I have never had a problem with the quality of the products I have ordered from Farmhouse. Thank you.
